  • Where do sessions take place?
There are a variety of beautiful locations in the Los Angeles area where I do sessions. We will discuss location options during our pre-session planning and determine the best possible location suited to your dog. Since it's such a big area, certain locations will incur an additional mileage fee. If your dog is elderly, shy, nervous, or just prefers a familiar environment, I can do sessions in your home or yard if there is enough space and light.
  • When do sessions take place?
Most sessions take place in the morning or in the late afternoon/early evening. The light tends to be best at these times.
  • What happens if the weather is bad?
Well, fortunately that doesn't happen too often in sunny SoCal! Most days are perfect for outdoor photo shoots. Beautiful light is key to getting the best images possible. One one of those rare occasions when the weather isn't going to be suitable on the day of your session due to rain, storms, heavy cloud cover, etc., we will reschedule to another day that suits you. During warmer months, it is sometimes necessary to reschedule due to excessive heat.
  • Can I be in the photos?
Of course! I love capturing people with their beloved companions. If you plan on being in some of the photos, we will discuss wardrobe options during our planning session.
  • What if my dog is not well trained?
It is not necessary for your dog to be trained to sit, stay, down, etc. It doesn't hurt, of course, but it's certainly not a requirement. I have been working with dogs for many years and have experience photographing dogs with all sorts of personalities and at all levels of training.
  • My dog can't be off leash. Is that OK?
Yes, that's perfectly OK. The safety of your dog is my number one priority, so if they are not 100% reliable being off leash, they can stay on leash for the entire session. Through the magic of Photoshop, I can remove it in post production.
  • My dog is wild. Can you still get good photos?
Yes! Believe it or not, it usually only takes your dog being still for a split second to get a great shot. And sometimes action shots really capture their true personality the best. Plus, we have at least 2 hours and I have lots of patience!
  • My dog doesn't have much time left. Can you fit us in quickly?
I completely understand this situation and I will do my best to fit you in as quickly as possible.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept major credit cards, Venmo, and PayPal.
  • How far in advance do I need to book?
I'm generally booked out a month or so in advance, so please conatct me as soon as you are ready to book. I am fine booking a few months in advance.
